This report outlines the construction activities carried out by ACI Environment and Resources Limited for the PRODA Technology Outreach Centre, for the construction North-West Liaison Offices Phase 1 project in Gusau, Zamfara State. The project are phases and the Phase 1 of it, include land acquisition, fence and gatehouse construction, transformer installation, and borehole construction.
The Project involved the Environmental Audit of the 3 Nos Substations of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) under the Enugu Transmission Region located at Nkalagu, Oji River and Enugu. The scope of the environmental audit was drawn up from the National Guidelines for Environmental Audit in Nigeria (2009) issued by National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA).
A comprehensive training programme on environmental audit and environmental management system was conducted for the staff members of the Transmission Company of Nigerian (TCN): Headquarters and 3Nos Substations of Nkalagu, Oji River and New Haven under the Enugu Transmission Region at the Board Room of Fidelma Hotels, Independence Layout, Enugu, Enugu State from the 19th through 21st July 2023. Training materials were provided to all the Participants (The Attendance Register is attached).
The objective of the Training was to enhance the staff’s understanding of environmental audit principles, approaches, methodologies, and best practices, and to equip them with the necessary knowledge to conduct environmental audits within the organization in line with the regulatory guidelines of NESREA and FMEnv.
